Give the color change a clear direction

Your wheels, trim and interior can all influence how a new exterior color feels. Start with a small group of finishes and compare them on material samples. A restrained satin color and a high-contrast graphic treatment create very different results, even on the same model.

Decide how complete you want the transformation to be. Visible edges, door openings, handles and accents deserve a conversation before work begins. Share reference photos, but define the actual panels and details included in your own project.

Plan for the vehicle you have now

Tell the studio about existing PPF, coatings, old graphics or paint repairs. These can change preparation and installation planning. If your vehicle is leased, review your agreement and discuss the eventual removal before committing to a full color change.

Create a Tesla finish that works as a whole

Choose a color direction with the rest of the vehicle in view. Wheels, glass, trim and interior colors influence the finished appearance. Comparing a few material samples against the actual vehicle can make the decision more useful than collecting dozens of unrelated reference images.

Define how far the transformation should go. Some owners are happy with an exterior color change that reveals the original paint when a door opens. Others want to discuss additional areas. Make those expectations explicit before the installation scope is approved.

Plan for future ownership as well as the reveal. If the car is leased or you expect to sell it, review the relevant agreement and discuss removal. Keep the material name and photos of the original condition to support later repair or replacement decisions.

Bring color and finish references, but review a physical sample when possible because lighting changes how a finish appears. Discuss visible edges, accents and the condition of the underlying surface before agreeing the design.
